Marthastuga of Qvis Vilhelms

The 18th century twin cabin on the Qvis Vilhelms peasant farm comprises a large room, two bedrooms and a corridor separating these rooms.

Visitors are taken back in time by the large room’s impressive ceiling logs, big baking oven and clay-insulated walls. Items saved by the village residents are displayed in the cabin.

The priest’s room, with beautiful blue wallpaper, was used by priests visiting the village to educate the villagers.

Members of the Martha organisation and their husbands, jokingly referred to as martyrs, have renovated the cabin and moved the log outbuilding to its current location with the help of professionals.
